MEET THE OWNER
I’ve grown up around hair so it’s no surprise I’ve made it my lifelong career. Both my parents were hairdressers, and my dad founded Headmasters back in 1984, making it one of the longest established salons in Leamington Spa.
When I took over fully in 2004 I’ve then grown the team and the space to what you see today. Our loyal customers are the centre of our busy salon community, many of them staying with us over the years and bringing new generations of their family and friends with them.
Headmasters definitely offers something extra when in our salon, with the best salon team giving you a little bit more than you expected to brighten your day.

Our salon family is what makes us special. Every member of our team brings their own unique character and skills, and many have been with us for a long time.
Forever dedicated to their craft, our team work hard to continually develop their skills to offer you the very latest cutting and colouring techniques. We all love what we do and truly care about making our clients feel great.
Hairdressing for 30 years, Keri is our business mentor, team cheerleader and client therapist! Short ladies’ hair specialist and our go to for colour theory. Away from the salon she enjoys walking, kayaking and good food with her husband and kids.
JACKIE - SALON MANAGER
Not a hairdresser but may as well be as she knows so much! Jackie has been working us for 9 years but a regular salon visitor since the age of 12 as she’s Keri’s best friend! Having worked in social care before the salon she’s the mother figure of the salon. She’s a keen yogi and earth mother!
Abi has been hairdressing for 26 years and with us for 12 of those. She specialises in curly hair and blonde foil work; no-one gets closer to that root! Her trademark cuts are bobs and short hair and she also cuts gents. At home she loves a glass of wine and a good book (don’t we all!).
King of the glam blow-dry, Nathan also specialises in tape hair extensions, balayage and the ever-popular pink toners. He’s been hairdressing for 20 years and cuts both ladies and gents. The life and soul of the salon (and the party) he keeps us all laughing.
Meet Megan – Colour Queen, Client Favourite & Detail Devote
If you know Headmasters, you know Megan. She started with us as a Saturday girl and has now been with the salon for an incredible 23 years — a true cornerstone of our story, and an absolute client favourite.
With her signature calm, caring presence and next-level memory (seriously, she never forgets a thing), Megan has built trusted relationships with long-standing clients who wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.
Her technical skills? Flawless. Megan is known for her precision colour work, from bright, beautiful blondes to natural grey blending and expert colour corrections. She has an exceptional eye for tone, balance, and the kind of detail that makes your colour feel effortless — and grow out gracefully.
Megan is also passionate about scalp health and exploring ways to support clients experiencing hair loss or sensitivity, adding a thoughtful, holistic layer to her services.
Meet Leia – Curl Whisperer, Colour Artist & Calm Confidence in a Stylis
There’s something instantly calming about Leia. Soft-spoken, thoughtful, and endlessly creative, she brings a sense of ease and warmth to every appointment.
As one of our resident curl and afro hair experts, Leia has a deep understanding of textured hair and how to cut, shape, and style curls with care and intention. Her consultations are detailed, attentive, and always client-led — you’ll feel seen and heard.
But Leia’s talents don’t stop there. She’s also a precision cutter who can turn her hand to any style, from soft long layers to bold short crops and a brilliant colourist with an artistic eye and a love for natural, dimensional tones.
When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find Leia creating beautiful artwork, knitting cosy pieces, or enjoying the outdoors — and that gentle, grounded energy flows into everything she does.
Meet Mel – Curl Queen, Colour Alchemist & All-Round Hair Dynamo
If you’ve met Mel, you already know – she’s an unstoppable force of creativity, energy.
From Australia and with over 27 years of experience, Mel brings her own unique flair to every appointment. She’s a whirlwind in the best way – bursting with ideas, passion, and knowledge that only comes from decades of experience.
Mel is one of our go-to curl and perm specialists, with a love for textured hair that shines through in every cut. Whether you’ve got tight coils, soft waves, or are thinking about embracing your natural pattern – Mel knows exactly how to bring out the best in your curls.
She’s also a master of bobs and short haircuts for ladies and gents, not forgetting those complicated colour formulas that make stylists sweat (Mel loves them!)
Her consultations are in-depth and honest, always paired with styling tips, product wisdom, and a whole lot of personality.
Meet Tom – Independent Stylist & Precision Cutting Expert
While Tom isn’t officially part of the Headmasters team, he’s a familiar face in the salon — and a firm favourite with many loyal clients.
With over 23 years of experience, Tom was trained in-house by Paul and Keri and has since carved out a reputation as a self-employed stylist known for his expert gents cuts, sharp skin fades, and precise short styles for women.
Tom is all about the details. He takes his time to get every cut just right, without the fuss — and his no-nonsense, straight-talking approach is exactly why his chair stays consistently booked.
Meet Lorna – Curl Queen, Gents Cut Pro & All-Round Vibe
Lorna joined Headmasters in 2022 and officially qualified as a fully fledged stylist just 10 months ago — but don’t let the dates fool you. This girl is a total natural. She’s got the kind of instinct and passion that you can’t teach.
Her thing? Long curly cuts, She loves helping her curly clients embrace their natural texture — no straighteners, no stress. Just bouncy, healthy curls and expert shape that makes styling a breeze.
She’s also brilliant with curly styling lessons — especially for clients who want to finally feel confident recreating their salon look at home.
Daisey joined Headmasters this summer after completing a years hairdressing course at warwickshire college, focusing on colour work. She is now working towards a higher level cutting and colouring qualification, whilst assisting the best salon team to create their best for you.
Say Hello to Hannah – Our Blonde Queen & Extension Expert
If you haven’t met Hannah yet, you’re in for a treat! She joined the Headmasters family in March 2024. With 8 years of experience behind the chair.
Trained at the award-winning Nicola Smyth Salon, Hannah has a soft spot for all things blonde— from bright, bold foils to those dreamy, low-maintenance blends that grow out like a dream. If you’re after long, glossy hair goals, she’s your girl.
Oh, and did we mention? She’s also a tape and nano extensions specialist, so whether you’re craving extra length, thickness, or a total switch-up — Hannah can make it happen seamlessly (literally).
